È Direttore principale della BBC Scottish Symphony, Direttore d'orchestra laureato Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Direttore onorario dell’ORT e Direttore onorario dell'Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Danese. Con la BBC Scottish Symphony, affascinato dalla cultura della Scozia, Dausgaard ha commissionato una serie di opere a compositori britannici e internazionali dal titolo "Scottish Inspirations". I suoi programmi sperimentali "roots", molti dei quali presentati ai BBC Proms, hanno gettato una luce rivelatrice su compositori come Brahms, Mahler, Debussy e Nielsen. In qualità di Direttore artistico della Swedish Chamber Orchestra, ha introdotto strumenti storici e disposizioni dei posti a sedere dei musicisti di ispirazione storica. Nel corso dei suoi successivi incarichi, ha guidato la Danish National Symphony Orchestra in patria e in numerose tournée e ha stretto profonde relazioni artistiche con i principali compositori danesi. Come direttore ospite, Dausgaard mantiene stretti legami con molte delle più importanti orchestre del mondo, tra cui la Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, i Wiener Symphoniker, la Gewandhausorchester, la Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, e la Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
Alissa Rossius, flutist and composer, is one of the most interesting artists of her generation. Her flute playing is admired for her golden tone and spirited performances. She has performed frequently as soloist, with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, the Dresdner Kapellsolisten, the Georgian Chamber Orchestra, the Prague Chamber Orchestra, the South West German Chamber Orchestra and the Budapest Strings. Born in Munich Alissa Rossius began playing the flute at the age of four and went on to balance an unusually broad musical education with performances, recordings and competitions from a young age; at ten she was accepted to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, and she quickly became a featured artist at the Bavarian Radio, as soloist with orchestra, in chamber music and with piano, incl. recordings as soloist with the Bamberger Symphoniker. Alissa Rossius subsequently took up the position as Solo Flute of the Swedish Chamber Orchestra and has performed as guest Solo Flute with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and with the Bavarian State Opera. For the label Genuin she recently recorded Brahms’ Violin Sonatas in an own arrangement with the pianist Gerhard Vielhaber, to be released in September. Her further interests are finding connections between the arts.
L’Orchestra Haydn si è costituita nel 1960 per iniziativa dei Comuni e delle Province di Bolzano e di Trento. Il suo repertorio spazia dal barocco ai contemporanei. L’Orchestra Haydn ha preso parte a diversi festival internazionali, apparendo in Austria (a Bregenz, a Erl, al Mozarteum di Salisburgo e al Musikverein di Vienna), Germania, Giappone, Italia (al Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, alla Sagra Musicale Umbra di Perugia, al Rossini Opera Festival di Pesaro, ad Anima Mundi di Pisa, a MiTo SettembreMusica di Torino e alla Biennale Musica di Venezia), negli Stati Uniti d’America, in Svizzera e in Ungheria.
Sul suo podio sono saliti, fra gli altri, direttori quali Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Jesús López-Cobos, Sir Neville Marriner, Riccardo Muti, Sir Jeffrey Tate. Dopo la quasi trentennale guida di Andrea Mascagni, alla direzione artistica si sono avvicendati Hubert Stuppner, Gustav Kuhn, Daniele Spini e Giorgio Battistelli (dal 2021).
